God chooses people to do important things, and each child was created to do something special! In this seven week theme we look at how God chose prophets, priests and kings to do things in the Old Testament, but how each child is chosen to do something important for God’s kingdom. By looking at the character of David, we see that God looks beyond our outward appearance to see if we can show bravery, be faithful friends, care for others, respect authority and show restraint. The memory verse (1 Samuel 16:7) reminds children that God chooses people by looking at their heart and encourages them to look at their own heart.
