Hey Kids!

In this month’s theme we aim for the kids to learn how to fight the good fight like Jacob did!
We will be learning how Jacob lied and deceived both his brother and father into getting the
birth right that never belonged to him. We will learn about how Jacob was threatened to be
killed by his brother Esau and had to run away to Haran. Jacob had a dream of a stairway to
heaven with angels going up and down it. He had to make a choice to believe and trust in
God. Jacob finds love in Rachel, and then Laban tricks him. He found himself wrestling with a
man. Jacob’s name was changed to Israel because he had fought with both God and with men
and won (Genesis 32:28). In the end Jacob and Esau reconcile and made peace.
